Scheme description / Schemenbeschreibung

Position of energyStorage in the XML-Tree / Position von energyStorage im XML-Baum

Multiplicity / Anzahl

[1..1]

Semantics / Bedeutung

(after version 2.0)

The element <energyStorage> is the container for all data of energy storage device on the vehicle. The main focus is on the electrical characteristics.

Attributes of energyStorage / Attribute von energyStorage

  • id: XML-file-wide unique, machine-interpretable identity, required for later referencing that element internally. For a detailed explanation see Dev:identities.
  • code (introduced with version 2.1): Machine-interpretable string (e.g. an abbreviation) used for identification of the object across exchange partners, usecase specific uniqueness constraints may apply. Please see our description of the differences between id, code and human-readable identifiers.
Maschineninterpretierbare Zeichenkette (z.B.
  • name: Established, human-readable short string, giving the object a name. Not intended for machine interpretation, please see our notice on human interpretable data fields.
  • description: Human-readable, more detailed description as addition to the name. It should give additional explanations or hints to the contents of this element. Not intended for machine interpretation, please see our notice on human interpretable data fields.
  • xml:lang (introduced with version 2.1): This is a unique identifier of language. It uses basically the language standard IETF BCP 47 (external link) which may be different to ISO 639-1 (external link) or ISO 639-2 (external link). For mapping hints see relation to other standards (external link).
This defines the language used for name and description. Use <additionalName> to provide a name and/or description in other languages.
  • maximumCurrentCharging: The maximum current in Ampere while charging the energy storage.
  • maximumCurrentDischarging: The maximum current in Ampere while discharging the energy storage.
  • maximumPowerCharging: The maximum power in Watt while charging the energy storage.
  • maximumPowerDischarging: The maximum power in Watt while discharging the energy storage.
  • maximumChargingEnergy: The maximum energy in kWh charging to the energy storage. The unit 'kWh' was selected here in favour of 'Ws' due to the value range expected for such trainborne energy storage systems.
  • chargingEfficiency: The efficiency as value between 0 and 1 while charging the energy storage.
  • dischargingEfficiency: The efficiency as value between 0 and 1 while discharging the energy storage.
  • meanStorageEfficiency: The mean efficiency as value between 0 and 1 of the energy storage.

Syntactic Constraints / Syntaktische Beschränkungen

The element <energyStorage> with its attributes is optional. However, when used only the attributes id, maximumCurrentCharging, maximumCurrentDischarging, maximumPowerCharging, maximumPowerDischarging and maximumChargingEnergy are mandatory.

Best practice & Examples / Empfohlene Anwendung & Beispiele

Not yet described. / Noch nicht beschrieben.

Notes / Anmerkungen

The efficiency of the energy storage device can be given in three levels of detail: mean value, value per charging/discharging and detailed curves. The user application has to ensure the consistency, if more than one variant is used.

Open issues / Offene Punkte/Pendenzen
