Semantics / Bedeutung

The element <clearanceGauge> (introduced with version 2.3) contains all data with regard to the minimum clearance outline of a railway track. This rather complex information about minimum distances in terms of height and width from track centre line and top of rail surface is normally coded in related standards and national railway regulations. The information about the clearance gauge profile of the railway track is evaluated with the clearance gauge of the train in order to decide, whether this certain train may pass the track.
