Timetable period
- Holiday planning might be relevant for tenders, as it affects costs. This is covered already by existing functionality.
Vehicles and formations
We see two usecases for formation planning: - the rolling stock is provided by the contractor. In this case, the tender refers to specific vehicle types and formations. - the bidder is expected to provide the rolling stock. In this case, commercial requirements are defined for trains or train sections.
The standard should allow to distinguish these cases.
Infrastructure
Infrastructure requirements as electricity or maximum weight might be relevant if rolling stock is to be provided by bidder.
Rostering
We don't see a use case for circulations.
Improvements for further versions
The use case where the bidder has significant flexibility in designing the timetable (varying running time of trains, varying departure times within regular interval schedule) would need more elaboration if demand arises.
