Das Element diesel beinhaltet alle Daten zur Beschreibung eines Dieselmotors als Antrieb. Derzeit ist die Liste der Daten noch nicht ausreichend oder vollständig. Es ist auch nicht vorgesehen, dass mehrere Dieselmotoren unterschiedlicher Bauart installiert sind, die dem Antrieb dienen.

This is the number of diesel engines of the same type installed on the vehicle for traction purpose. The use of different types on the same vehicle is not supported.

The number is considered for calculation of totals of power consumption and efficiency.

assemblyName

This is the type description of the used diesel engine.

nomPower

This is the nominal power of one diesel engine in Watts.

fuelCapacity

This is the capacity of the fuel tank of the vehicle in litres. In case of several tanks it shall be the total sum of all.

mean Efficiency

This is the average efficiency of the diesel engine under normal working conditions.

Efficiency values are given in the range from 0 to 1 in RailML.
